Lost My Knife...Cant Find It

I lost my Large reg.seb last week thurs. somewhere in the house and

cant find it.Ive looked every where I can think of...some places where it

shouldnt be.I havent given up hope yet.Its been 6 days.


Has anyone out there lost a knife for several days,no clue of where you had

it last and found it later? Tell us your story. :(
 
I hope you find it. I'm sure it'll turn up. If the last place your remember
having it is in the home you probably just placed it somewhere and forgot.

I do it all the time.

I've had some episodes where I can't find them and the most common are
the following:

- Left it in the car
- Left it clippled on a pair of pants (if the dryer is unusually loud, you may wanna check...)
- Left it in another room (kitchen is common)
 
I do this kind of stuff all the time because i have what some would say is too many knives. Sometimes it takes years for me to find them. I lost a Kershaw leek combo edge for over a year. It had fallen out of my pocket and was under the floor mat in my car. The same knife a few weeks earlier had fallen out next to a dumpster when i was emptying trash cans but i found it that day. I geuss i just never looked in my car hard enough. Sometimes they fall into boxes that i'm messing with in the house and i forget to pick them up. Then i go crazy looking for it and a few weeks later i dig in the same box and SUPRISE. Just remember it'll be in the last place you look becuase why would you keep looking once you find it. Look in stranger places like the bathroom or the attic or basement. Speaking of dryer AGAIN another kershawk leek this time plain edge. Took a spin in the dryer Chipped the tip and the blade and the clip screws fell out. I'm sure going through the washer didn't help either.
 
Check under your couch cushions and drivers seat. I once lost a DDR custom DLC Maxx with MOP inlays at Ft Campbell.
 
Car, jacket, pants, backpack or some bag you carry around to work or the gym? any chance it was stolen somehow?
 
Check the edge of your seatbelt in all the cars you have been in since you lost it. My Dad's car likes to steal my Manix2.

places..pants pocket,coat packets,more places than I care to think about.
 
Dude!! That same thing happend to me in January!! Lost my Benchmade 745, Lum!! My fave blade by far for EDC not as substantial a loss $ wise as you but none the less...
I orderd a new one last week and on Friday we were packin up to go to Dallas and guess what I found in my bag!!???!!

Unreal!!

It will turn up bro!!

I lost my Todd Begg Deluxe Gent's Glimpse for about 2 weeks, only 2 days after receiving it. I eventually found it right where I had placed it. It was in the leather boot around my stick shifter in my truck. I don't drive the truck very often, so I didn't see it until I was in the truck again. :)
 
went out on my roof to clean the gutters this past fall. found a benchmade knife laying on the roof that I lost the last time I cleaned the gutters. Bad part is that I never even missed it the whole year!
 
It happens...my buddy lost his Tenacious for a few months and one day it turned up in his dad's truck. It was missing the pocket clip and the screws and the blade looked like it was used to cut through drywall. Of course his father would never admit to doing anything to the knife though...haha.
 
I've misplaced knives plenty of times and have always eventually found them. My son lost a Benchmade Switchback for about 8-9 months. It's funny, because we checked the sofa numerous times. But it wasn't until I forced my hand all the way down a seam with all the strength I could muster that we found it.

OP, Check under the seats in your car.

I hate when this happens but one time I lost my favorite old knife, a Case 6445R, at work...for about a year. Then I found it in our dry storage area.
 
I've never lost a knife except an old SAK, but I've lost other stuff. Try retracing your steps of the day you lost it. Look everywhere in the car, in shoes and slippers (where i found my phone), and think, "now where would I NEVER leave my knife?" and look there.
 
How about the laundry hamper? Never found any knives in there, but several knives have made it through the washer and dryer at my house.
 
I'm missing my Atlantic Salt right now. I know I had it with me fishing a few weeks ago and it didnt end up in the water....so that leaves my truck, my buddies truck, the boat, my GF's place, and my place to search. This is gonna take a while...
 
I lost a cheap Wal-mart folder at some point, I don't remember exactly when but it never turned up again, I didn't really search for it too much though...

I also lost my first SAK, that one I looked for like mad, all over the house for a long time, I ended up buying a new one. I always suspected the couch as the knife theif though because it had a rip in the seam behind the back cushion that I couldn't reach through too far. Anyway, years later we were getting rid of that couch so I used my new swiss army knife to cut open the bottom fabric and out falls the knife! (and a key, and a bunch of change, I think even a library card)

So I'm sure you'll find it eventually, as long as you never give up hope, and with a knife that expensive I doubt you would.
