Lost My Knife...Cant Find It

I lost my second ever folding knife in a waterbed when I was about 12. Sat down to play video games with my buddy, and the next day I was sure I had lost it when we'd been out in the woods after the video gaming.

Found it 5 years later when I helped my buddy move :P

The place where I tend to set things down the most and forget about them is the garage. Think about times during the last week when you were looking for something else or doing something focused and then got interrupted. With 3 kids, my mind gets yanked off the task at hand all the time and when I move, I leave things behind. Hope you find it soon. Good luck!

If it's in the house somewhere it'll prob turn out eventually. Maybe after 20 years when you renovate or move out or something, lol hope not. But if it were to be found like 10-20 years later maybe it'd be pretty darn collectible by then. ;)

I haven't lost any of my knives but I have missplaced my BM 42 several times in the house. When I'm in the house I just like to slip in in my college pants pocket so I can flip it every once in a while and at some point I notice it's gone, often along my cellphone.
I just trace my steps back to where I had sat during the day. :)

My BaliYo on the other hand, man it just doesn't like to stay in the pocket!
I've had several close calls in the mall and out on the town where it was dangling on a single piece of string from my hoodie. The thin wire clips on it get easily caught in a loose string loop and get pulled out.

I lost a knife once and found it 11 years later...was in my welding overalls that didnt fit anymore and got stashed in a draw, also "lost" my spyderfly and ended up finding out I didnt lose it but my wife hid it cause she hates the noise it makes lol.

I lost a Boker knife for months. Looked everywhere and couldn't find it. Then I took a flight to New Mexico and boarded a bus. On the bus I noticed something clipped to the outside of my backpack, and you can guess what. Apparently I'd gone through airport security with a mid-sized gravity knife + serrated/tanto blade attached to the outside of my carry-on luggage. Admittedly, it was black on black but still I'm sure if someone had seen it I'd probably still be locked in a steel box in the bowels of the airport. When I found it I was relieved but also thought: "Wait a minute--what?? Oh shit!"

About 2 weeks after I bought my umnumzaan it caught on the edge of the car door as I was getting out and fell onto the parking lot. I didn't notice it was gone until about 3 hours later and started frantically looking in my room. About 15 minutes later my friend walked in and said he found a knife in the parking lot. I was never more relieved than when I saw that it was my um

It'll turn up and when it does, you will slap yourself. :o

I lost my Leek for a month. Looked everywhere. Torn the house apart, and the car, looked in all my storage spots, looke in all my coat pockets, laundry room and basktes, everywhere. Then I gave up looking for a couple weeks and thought it was lost for good. Sat down to watch TV one day in my man cave (finished basement) and spilled some beer on me and grabbed the microfiber cloth on the coffee table that I wipe down my blades with and there it was, under the cloth. Hand, meet forehead. :o

my biggest place is to lose them in my bed...sounds odd but i have a wierd bed with lil shelves running around under the matress...hard to explain. the worst place for me loss wise is the back seats of taxis, lost too many knives to those deep soft seats...shit happens.

I am a bit nutty, so I organize my stuff (in a general way) every night before I go to bed... So I usually know what is going on with what...

But, some years ago, I lost a CRKT S2, a nice knife for me, at the time.... That was a bad experience...

I lost my Leek s30v/G10 and still can't find it. My son lost his BM Grip, which we eventually found in a crevice by the front seat of his car. Another place that I've nearly lost knives is by the commode. Sometimes when you drop your pants the knife can slip out. So, you might want to look next to the toilet.
Another place that I've temporarily lost things is in the pocket of a jacket. Especially the inside wallet pocket of a blazer or suit jacket. I sometimes use that pocket when the knife is not appropriately clipped in the trouser pocket.

Lost my Kershaw Lahar while camping...actually my wife lost it. She had to cut something while we were out for a hike and put it down. We tried to search the general area but to no avail.

Til now the wife is perplexed why I was so sad about losing my "cheap" knife. She doesn't know the real cost of our man jewelry. Sigh.

I lost my BM 46MC for about a week. I looked everywhere I could think of (probably the problem) and had zero luck. I finally gave up on finding it and out of no where, I found it two days later under my bookshelf. Still no clue how it got there, but the unconventional places are always where I start now.

I lost my first bali when I got it. A ccc silver one (have shown a picture of it) found it (of all places) on a door, on top of one, closed. no clue who put it there or how it got there. was missing for a few days.

Lost an automatic knife (about 12 inches long) somewhere in the house, been missing for over 3 years. but I still look for it every now and then.
