I just got a ESEE4 two days ago. A little while ago I took my pup to a small lake to throw his ball and let him swim and play. I was going to play with the knife. I had it in a fanny pack with the dogs ball, some treats , and other crap. I got the dogs ball out to throw for him and I didn't realize the zipper had broke when I closed it. The zipper sepperated and I lost my knife! I looked for it and couldn't find it. We covered about 3 miles thru the woods and part of a field. I am so pissed right now!!!

I love my 4, it's easily my favorite knife. I'd buy another one and put an orange lanyard on it.

Thanks for the offer. I am in Wichita. One of my friends is bringing his over to me. I called him right after I couldn't find it.

Geez that seriously sucks... Especially after only having the knife for 2 days and not being able to put it through is paces

Losing a knife sucks!

Go back out there a couple times and maybe one of these times it will just pop up in front of you.

Man..Thats a downer. If you are as bad as me I be going over that area until I found it..The way the economy is its hard enough to buy one knife never mind two knifes.

Let me Know, I will be in Witchita all next week for KNOA. I can bring it.

Thanks. I will let you know.

I am going to take the dog out there again to. He seems to find all kinds of crap out there. I am training him to be a search and rescue dog.

Get back out there and retrace your steps. Your gonna find it!!

Good luck Brother

I lost my House keys the other day on a walk...retraced my steps exactly..it was a hour walk...found it about 45 minutes into the search.

You'll find it.

Same thing happened to me last fall... after working a fast paced day of crossing fences, staking berms, and clearing limits for road construction and I found I lost the BM710 clipped to my back pocket. Long story short, I found it hanging from a tree limb right above a bobwire fence.

Good luck!

I feel for you bro. I lost a bm 551 one time and it almost made me sick.

sorry to hear that..

another +1 on going back to look for it..

Sometimes when I used to work on my cars I couldn't get something off/on, or find a lost bolt etc.. I would take a break to return later and BINGO there it is, or now it comes off or on like butter.

I think our head gets clouded in the moment and distorts our judgment at times..

go back !!!! Without the dog this time:thumbup:

good luck man..

ETA: better yet, look around the house where you were preparing your bag.. Had a similar thing happen couple months ago with my bk2, thought it was even stolen.. turns out I set it on a shelf before heading out to the garage to strip it.... You never Know !! you may have just though you took it with you..

Spent the last almost three hours out looking with a metal detector and three stes of eyes besides myself and the dog ( the dog minds and is very well behaved ) and nothing. We even tore apart the house and my truck. I almost feel sick to the stomach.
