Oh no, man that must hurt bad. There are still a few honest people out there. Maybe one of them will find your Sebenza and turn it in.

Put up posters like you lost a dog, you did lose a family member after all! I'm guessing this is a large park and you have no idea where it was lost. Sorry to hear it.

Ouch, that sucks big time for both of you^
Any plans to buy a replacement? It will hurt the your bank account but heal the heart.

That sucks rhino. I am truly sorry.
I guess the worst thing that could happen is you HAVE to buy a new knife. No choice. :)

Thanks for the replies. I did take the 40 minute drive back to the park and looked about an another hour. The problem is that I was riding a bike. Big mistake!! Do not carry a pocket knife on a bike because the up and down gyrations while seated and pedaling is not ideal. Sadly, I've only just figured this out. Now the question is not whether or not to replace. Not replacing may force me to carry and use my other knives more. Also, how comfortable are you guys carry out expensive knives. My next expensive knife is a ZT0392 but I don't carry much for fear of losing it.

Sadly there is a chance that whoever finds it won't even appreciate it for what it is. Bummer dude. :(

This is what I was thinking. Or they might sell it for chump change not knowing what it's worth. I'd almost rather nobody find it at all. It's not a bad idea to hold off on buying another for a little bit to help you appreciate what you have for a little bit. It sometimes takes a lot to carry knives other than CRK's. Hang around the exchange and wait for an awesome deal. Sorry for your lose and best of luck! You could always give the Umnumzaan a shot, or grab an large Inkosi if you want more of the same. Who knows, you might find something you really like and maybe even prefer.

Bummer brah, I've lost a few expensive knives in my time (well, expensive to me anyways) still makes me sick to think about it. :(

The only knife I ever lost was one carried loose in my front pocket. Been carrying CRK's for eight yrs or so, and no fear of losing one...a good pocket clip...
...but yeah, you're right about riding a bike...it can happen that way pretty easily.
Sorry to hear it.
Buy another...life's too short to be without a Sebbie or Zaan for very long.

I have one CRK and it is, for all intents and purposes, irreplaceable. It is 1 of 7 made on the day my daughter was born, and I lucked out and found it on the exchange here 10 months after she was born. I have yet to see another one with the same date.

That being said, it is still a knife and due to that, I carry and use it. My daughter and the knife, are both just over 3 years old. Maybe one day it will be hers... By then, it will have a Lot more wear on it.

I felt that in my heart I lost a griptilian once and that hurt so I can't imagine how much that sucked to lose a CRK
