Well, after a week of frantic searching I have come to terms that I lost my Sebenza 21 less than a year after I bought it. I'm pretty bummed but after carrying it I can't find a knife that comes close to the fit, finish, etc (my humble opinion) for the price. I'm wondering if they ever go on sale or does Chris not allow authorized dealers to discount them?

The search begins!

That really sucks!:mad: However, that has happened to many of us, so we can relate to your pain. I hope that you find it in the future, when you least expect it. Check out the sales forum here, you may get a replacement at a bargain price.

They don't go on sale, but there's pretty regularly used ones for good prices right here in the exchange!

Unless you're a lefty, then good luck....

Sorry for your loss-might still turn up. I have heard some wild stories.
Best place to get them on sale is the exchange. You can get an almost new at discount or a well carried, but little used and send it to the spa for a full refurbishing.

That sucks.
Hopefully it will turn up, as luck will have it, you'll find it after you've bought another one to replace it. They turn up in shoes, work bags hidden in a vehicle, another pair of pants in the laundry, in chairs at work.
Have you back tracked your work path, or if you were in the yard, garage????? If it was dropped in a public place, well, we all know the chances of you ever getting it back.

I did the same. Tried to settle on a Spydie Techno and Sage 2. Tried a Wilkins mini-Grip. The Sebenza had spoiled me so I finally broke down and bought another small Insingo. You might consider a variation this time in case your old one turns up. Good luck in the search.

Sorry to hear that. Hope that you find it or a good deal for a replacement.

I am truly sorry for your loss!! Did you look in your car at your seat belt?

My first was a Large Starbenza. I had 90 frantic minutes of it MIA, only to discover that the torn liner on my winter coat had pickpocketed me and was holding it ransom. I hate that coat to this day.

Sorry to hear. Hopes it turns up. As has been stated, the Chris Reeve Knives for sale thread may be a good place to monitor.

I feel your pain. At Christmas, I was in Ottawa, and one morning got up and noticed my Sebenza 21 was not in my pocket. I thought it must have fallen out in the car. Decided not to panic.....

I went down to the car (was staying in a hotel) and put my computer bag in from the passenger side. I thought I would walk around and open the driver's door to check for the knife. I walked around the back, and there was the Sebby sitting on the ground, half open, in plain view by the rear tire! Had sat there all night, and fortunately the car next to mine had not moved, or I am sure it would have been noticed.

Talk about feeling your blood run cold. I could so easily have rounded the car at the front and never even noticed it.

I know you don't want to hear this, but... go to a quiet place , close your eyes and try to visualize the last time/place you remember having it, then where you went from there. I have had faint recollections of hear something hit the ground, or a tug I didn't think much of at the time ,turn out to be where I dropped something., Good luck, and don't give up... They want you to find them!
