I lost my William Henry E6-3 in carbon fiber that was a gift to me from my wife for my birthday last year. It was unique because the blade was not coated and I have never seen another like it. I'm honestly not sure if it was stolen from my pocket somehow or if it just snagged on something. My wife is very upset. Just had to vent. First knife I've ever lost.

Ouch man, that's a gnarly thing to lose. How were you carrying it? Or do you think you set it someplace after using it and forgot to grab it?

It was clipped to my right pocket. I know I didn't lay it down after use because I didn't use it that day. I just cannot remember when I felt it in my pocket last. It's driving me nuts.

I tend to carry heavier blades or fixed blades for that reason. More likely to notice if it isn't on my person. That's really rough though man, maybe it fell out in your car? Had that happen a couple of times

That sucks. I've had more issues with losing ultra-light knives than I have with heavier ones. So far I have lost an E10 or E6, though. I have lost (and luckily found) a Benchmade 530 and a CRKT titanium Eros, as well as an ultralight Al Mar (currently still whereabouts unknown, but I'm sure it's in my house).

Ouch! I feel for you, I lost a custom Crawford Framelock a few years back along with my wallet and 2 other knives I was sick. Up until that point I'd never felt like I really ever lost one. I've always held on to the idea that I'd still find it. I lost a BM Mini Reflex, it was lost for 5 or more years. I looked everywhere I thought I lost it, I dragged the trail with a giant magnet, I walked the 3 acre lawn day after day. I was always lookin' for it, everyday, everywhere because I just couldn't remember losing it, it just stopped bein' there.

Fast forward 5 or 6 years and I'm in the basement moving boxes back that had been moved during the last hurricane to keep them off the floor. Well apparently I had laid the knife down on the box open and someone, (coulda been me) put another box on top of it and another knife I'd been missin' a Blackie Collin's Joggin' Buddy. I had almost given up hope when they turned up so unless you saw it sink to the bottom of the ocean there's still hope.

I hope you do find it and if it was my William Henry I'd be upset too...

Don't give up.

Keep looking. I've lost several in the car as well. Pocket clip got hooked on the seat belt. Never even felt it. Best of luck finding it!

What did you do that day? Were you at home or in town? Did you have a jacket on or change clothes for any reason? I've had knives turn up in clothes I put on later more than anything else. Though the car can swallow a knife. You need to really get down with a flashlight and look from the front and back of the seat you were in and slide it back and forth.

The one I lost that I knew I wasn't getting back was a PM2 CF S90V that fell off a boat in 5 feet of water while moving. Even though I knew it was gone I dove in after it with my clothes on without a second thought but had moved far enough to never find it in the grass.

They don't always show up but unless you know it's gone there is still a chance.

That is a tough loss, but keep looking, they have a habit of showing up in the oddest places. I was looking into these knives recently and it looks like the no longer make the EDC line. Makes the loss doubly hard

Check the gasket on your washer/dryer. Many years ago I lost a Kershaw that way. It was in the gasket for probably 3 months in water. Found it with about $3 worth of spare change and the knife had hardly any rust on it.

Keep looking!

Look in the car, between the driver's seat and the console. Way down low, where the seat bolts to the floor. Get down in the floor of the backseat and use a flashlight. Look in every nook and cranny. You'll find 2x desiccated french fries, and a few other things you can't identify. There is a 14% chance you will find the knife. I want a reward when you find it in the car. Maybe a Nitecore Tube light, which costs about $10.

You lost a $300 knife, which is un-fun. But there are many people in far worse circumstances right now who would happily trade places. Small consolation, I know. Its no fun to lose a knife. Hang in there.

That sucks. I thought I lost my WH Gentech once. Was missing a couple months. Ended up finding it down under the center console of my minivan. Was a happy day, as I thought I had dropped it at a restaurant.

All my light/small knives go in a slip sheath or deep pocket. Nothing goes into slacks. Way too loose, and risky. I'll use a belt sheath only for those.

Good luck, and don't give up hope yet.

I'm still looking for a bright blue handled Spyderco. It's been months and months. I have a vague recollection of putting it some where "safe" when I left town to go camp on the beach for 10 days or so. I was too lady to go upstairs and actually put it in the safe.

I've lost knives over the years. I've even lost a custom knife by J. Oeser. One of a kind. But that turned up after a few days.

Even loosing a cheap knife like a Spiderco Delica drives me batty.

Still waiting for my 4sevens light to show up, it's been a year and a half now.

I forgot to mention that I carry my most prized knives IWB around the 1 o'clock position. I find that the most secure place that is least likely to get caught on something or fall out.

This is exactly the reason I stopped clipping small knives to my pocket.

I hope you find it.
