Lost (not the show)

I would love to have seen the looks on the kids face. Here he's thinking that the cops are talking about some petty knife theft, then they tell him it's a 500-600 dollar blade.:D

Finally, a thing I know a thing or two about :) . 360joules is entirely correct here. The value of this knife should be the fair market value for replacement, making this a FELONY in all the states that I have dealt with. In Florida where I am, the limit is $300.00 which easily qualifies in this case. Verify the recovery amount because this also often dictates how the charging process will continue. In my agency all felonys are filed by us with misdemeanors often being the responsibilty of the victim.

That's great man!!!

Some months of separation, but now, feels like a lost animal coming home.

Means more now don't it?

Great for you, Man!

Great conclussion. I love it. Happy endings are always the best.

AWESOME News!

If you need a valuation statement for the police. . . just let me know, and I will be more than happy to get you one. . .

Congrats on the recovery of your loved one!!!

Jerry :D

Congratulations on the reclamation of your INFI! Hopefully his karma pays him back in kind.;)

Really glad to hear you got your knife back. I guess what goes around really does come around. It made me more aware of locking my vehicle doors and such, sometimes I get kind of lax in that department, and a scum theif only needs a very short amount of time to get any of your good stuff if he has the opportunity.

Thanks all. I do feel really good about getting it back.
And than you Jerry for your offer to confirm current market value, but it won't be necessary. The kid's father was not aware it was a stolen knife. The father is cool. Offered restitution and even offered more for "pain and suffering" due to my temporary loss. I am good with that. I was a kid once (many, many years ago).
The short term "owner" apparently decided to sell it after discovering he couldn't break it. Sure looks like he tried.
It needed sharpening bad, and the mid blade chip turned out to be a dent which I worked out without removing much metal.

INFI is amazing stuff.

Congrats on your blade recovery again. . . .

I'm willing to throw in a free knife makeover if you'll send her in.. . . I can bring her back to nearly as good as new. . . .

Let me know,

Jerry

Now that is what I like about Busse people!!!

Thanks again for your offer Skunk, it is just too kind to accept.

And thanks again Jerry for your offer, but I don't see any sense in putting lipstick on a mule.

My Ergos (NO, SH, BM) may have become butt-ugly from use, but beauty really does go to the bone with these knives.

That's AWESOME that you got your blade back. Any pictures of the wayward piece of infi that you recovered would be appreciated.

I'd be beyond mad if anyone stole my knives and guns....

Glad this one turned out well.
