Over the years I've had a few knives lost and a few stolen.
Cub Scout pocket knife lost
Buck 110 and 112 stolen
Vic classic lost
Vic camper I think it was stolen
Benchmark fixed blade stolen
Schrade stockman stolen
Schrade trapper and another stockman lost
2 Cold Steel Voyagers lost
There are maybe 1 or 2 more but these are the ones I remember. What are yours?

For over 30 some years I thought my list wasn't too bad. I take it you two have never lost or had a knife stolen?

HHhhhmmmm...
Losing ...... some folks are just prone to lose stuff ....
Stolen ...... some folks are just meant to be prey for the predators ....

I had a small collection of knives stolen from a cabin in Arkansas. It took over 12 years to find identical replacements for each. They included:

Brdlyk hunter (not as common any more)
Schrade ProHunter
Tekna diving knife
BuckLite
Aristocrat Majestic (try finding one of those!)
Gerber Gator
Timberline Timberlite
and a few others I can't recall.

As far as losing, mostly Opinels that were easily and painlessly replaced.

Lost:

Gerber AR 3.00 Black Teflon, Partially Serrated. It's sitting somehwere under about 3 feet of swamp water. It got snaggedoff my pocket by thick brush.

SOG Powerlock- The Farmington River took this one from me, while I was using the saw to get a fish and my terminal tackle unstuck from some branches/ roots. The grip got slippery and the current pulled it away.

Maybe I need to stay away from water. Lanyards would have been helpful in either situation, particularly with the SOG. Unfortunately the SOG did not have lanyard holding capability.

I had a Sak executive i think stolen and I think I know by who, and I think the same person stole 20 ounces of silver from me.

Ouch, walked off with a roll of ASE's or something of the sort?

Funny topic. Cleaning out my basement recently I found the one knife I thought I'd lost. It was a cheap Tanto fixed I bought at an Army/Navy store years ago. So cheap the sheath has some Japanese character (writing) on it. Really bad quality, so much so I didn't care I'd lost it.

i lost a vic electrician a couple years ago. probably lost somewhere during the move into my new house. i probably should get a new one

I lost a buck executive. Had it in my pocket, and i think it fell out while sitting on the transit bus. A pity because it was the knife that got me carrying again.

Oldtimer folder with three blades (stolen)

western boot dagger (with clip leather sheath) stolen (then found 1 year later by brother who returned it to me (his skeezy friend stole it) but he had cracked the handle and broken about 1 inch of the tip.

Gerber hunting knife (don't remember the model- fat wide bellied skinner) lost (really just left by my dad in a hotel room).

CRKT M-16 folder (tanto) fell out of my pocket at a work event (shooting off bowling ball cannons, and 2 liter bottle rockets). went right back out after noticed it was not clipped in my front pocket any more, but it was not out there.....so some dill weed at the company pocketed it.

A Buck 110, now resting at the bottom of the South China Sea. I lost it over the side while working on USS White Plains.

Those are the most painful! Of those that I remember; I lost my first Leatherman in a hop bin when I was drying hops. Temporarily lost my first Benchmade...a CQC-7...luckily I found it several years later in the bottom of my ruck. That knife went on a couple of deployments, plenty of FTX's and even a camping trip or two and I didn't even know it was there:o

Had my first Ontario 12" machete stolen when in Ecuador...it wasn't a big loss, but sucked none-the-less.

Just recently, I "lost" my new Emerson CQC-13 here in Iraq. Spent two days fuming over it. On the third day, I noticed my Emerson hanging on one of my RAID day pack's shoulder strap webbing:eek: Must say it's a strong clip as I had carried that pack about a mile to and from work for two days and it never fell off!

I've been lucky.

ROCK6

My first pocketknife, some little two bladed, yellow plastic scaled pen knife.
Buck Duke--I kept that thing shaving sharp, man, I miss it.
One or two Vic Tinkers.
One Vic Mechanic.

I had a SOG Pentagon Elite and it fell out of my pocket at a friends house. I searched far and wide for that knife and we couldnt find it. Then a few days later I saw him with the damn thing, I said "Hey thats mine" , he replied "No it's not" ...... Dummy :)

Needless to say we didnt speak much after that. Not the fact that he stole it, just the fact he lied to me and said it wasnt mine. Hey if he wanted it that bad, he could've just asked!

I lost a scout knife when I was kid. Dont remember what brand but it had white handles on it.
about 10 years ago I lost a benchmade pardue 3200

Only lost one in the 20 years that I have been carrying a knife. It was a Case peanut with smooth bone handles. I lost it for a long time, looked everywhere for it. Found it some years later jammed in the seat crack in my car. I was ecstatic when I found it, but I left it at work that same night. Somebody on the next shift pocketed it. Guess I just wasn't meant to have that one.

My old finger grooved 110 that I had carried for years came up missing along time ago. I don't know if I lost it or if someone stole it. Could have been either way.
I lost a small Case Lil' Devil hunting knife that had belonged to my father. I would really like to have it back.
I suppose that's not to bad for having carried a knife for 25 years or so.
