I take it Serenity is a movie leading up to a mini series Firefly?

No, actually Firefly was a short-lived tv series, and Serenity was a big-screen movie that continued the story. Well worth watching in my opinion.

Firefly was a television series about smugglers in space, which was axed after getting jumbled around Fox's lineup. Serenity, is basically the directors self described "season 2" of Firefly all wrapped up in one movie.

Dexter, is my favorite.

I've enjoyed the first three seasons as well, though season one seemed a bit predictable.

"Oh, her boyfriend will be the ice truck killer... now he'll turn out to be Dexter's brother..."

My cousin was not amused!
