lost thumbstud

I got a folder with a missing thumbstud, maybe broken off while I was cutting some wood...

any recommendation of how it should be fixed?

Depends on the folder and the style of stud. Knife suppliers sell them and you can buy pivot pins that are smooth and of various sizes that can be made to work as a custom thumb stud. You could also find out the make and manufacturer of the knife and see if they'll send you out another one either for a small fee or maybe even at no charge.

If you could post a pic or a link to a pic of the same knife it would help to diagnose the solution for you.
