So...the knives that the "Lost" production company supplied Locke with on the island has left a lot to be desired. Aside from the spydie that disappeared early in the season, and the buck, the rest are cheapies.
I think he has like 5-7 knives on him.
So, if you were the prop master, and you had absolute control of what kind of knives you could give Locke, what would you give him? He needs quite a few survival knives, but a fighter would be nice in there too.
Here's what I'd give him:
- Ontario Rat 3
(this would be his "I'm caught in a trap/must cut my way out" knife)
- Fusion Steel Heart
(this would be the knife that he uses for everything - stabs it into plane wreckage to demonstrate what a good knife can do)
- Rat Daddy
(this would be the piece he hands to his buddies for protection/hardwork, but his buddies are so freaked out by its size
)
- Spyderco Chinook II (having a spydie on TV is cool - this should be on his vest) originally I had a Manix, but I think the Chinook II adds to the character's "badass" quality.
- Covington chain damascus bowie with a dogbone handle
(I'd make this knife the heart and soul of the character - the knife he pulls out if he's about to fight, or when he's making a speech at the fireside or something)
- Spyderfly (what's a tv show with knives without a balisong??? - takes it out when he's in a bad mood)
