No calls please. Email and read thread on ordering instructions.

Arvind didn't tell me where to ship or how he wanted to pay so impossible to close the deal -- more unwanted and unnecessary emailing back and forth for both of us.

Thanks, Arvind. Love Sher, love the GS, love the length and price. My wallet was having a crisis. Ah, well, I'll wait for one in wood. :)

But when you get it, post some info on the handle. GS handles tend to be very skinny, but Sher is known for excellent handles, so I'm curious how this turned out.

Hi Uncle,

Actually that was my mistake, I had not read prior to sending. I sent you a reply listing the four criteria as mentioned in the instructions. If this is ok, then great if not then it's my loss.

Arvind

Hi Tohatchi,

When I receive the GS, I will certainly post info on the handle. This would be my first Sher made khuk. I heard that the handles by both Sher and by Kumar are very comfortable which is why I ordered this one. Also I did need an 18 incher to go along with my 21 inch horn handled GS.

Arvind

Wow a GRS by Bura! Somebody oughta grab that right away! Those GRSs are great khuks. The kind of khuk that can lop a 2x4 in two pieces with one swipe!

I HAVE a 12 in AK, I HAVE a 12 in AK, I HAVE a 12 in AK, I HAVE 12 in AK, I HAVE a 12 in AK, I HAVE a 12 in AK, I HAVE a 12 in AK!

I will NOT buy this.

I got two older horn ones as well. Both with the scrolled buttcaps that Thomas mentions in his older HI AK thread. One is a BAS and the other is a 16.5 inch World War II. Both are very well made.

Arvind

Arvind, I think Thomas is referring to 18th and 19th century Khukuris. I've got a book that lists some old ones at home, I'll check it tonight.

I meant by "old" the antique types I lust after but rarely win on EBay. Examples: AC cache. Is horn regarded as superior in practical terms?

TAL

Uncle Bill,

Email sent to you for the Sirupati by Kumar. Is today the day for me to find my first HI? Eagerly awaiting!
