Man, I'll need to camp out on the forums to pick-up the mnandis. Congrats to whoever bought that beautiful box-elder mnandi!
 
I'm actually the one who bought the Box Elder....I looked at the ad, came over here to share about the ad, then went back and looked and pined over ALL those FINE damascus and mammoth/bark ones that were out of my reach due to a recent purchase and decided the Box Elder was within my reach, just barely. It should be here today. Now that I think about it, it might be my first NEW Mnandi I've ever bought.

Well, I'm thinking I'm going to use this one. Can't use my giraffe bone (it's my shelf queen), can't use my snakeskin Mnandi, too scared to mess it up or lose it....so hopefully, fingers crossed, I'll use this as my new EDC.

Is your snakeskin a damascus? The reason I ask is I didn't think they were rare or special with the SV30 wood, I have 2 and one of them is in my EDC rotation. It shares pocket time with a Walnut lefty.
 
Oh, of topic a bit, your old jigged rosewood is up for sale right now too. Wish he took paypal. :(
 
That jigged is NICE!!!! Heck, I'd have likely bought it back had I not bought the other one yesterday! Ask him though, maybe he will.
 
The color is much darker and plainer than I like, but I'll bet it feels great in the hand. It wouldn't be a shelf queen if I had it, that's for sure. Now that I have many shelf queens anyway. :D (said while trying to get the day's crud off my large Tanto)
 
See, I'm jealous that you actually USE your knives. Hopefully I'll get that feeling when mine arrives today.

You've got a couple I might not use, including that droolworthy annual you just snagged. I tend to look for ones that already have the first scratch so I don't have to worry about that. I've gotten a couple of great deals that way, including a small Freedom Sebbie with double lugs for $280. That really seems fitting for use over here in the sandbox. :thumbup:
 
Please use the box elder! I know it's unrelentingly beautiful, but I am sure you'll be happy every time you pull it out to use it!

Sorry LW, didn't see this comment earlier. The snakeskin I have is the damascus name...the scales are Ebony.
