Lone Wolf Tighe Tactical Folder – 3.50 in. CPM-S30V satin finished blade. Titanium handles with blue-anodized titanium liners. This one was my daily carry for several months. Has been lightly sharpened and stropped. Very slight blade play when opened. Smooth action. Strong detent. Lots of scratches on handles. Nice slim classy knife for EDC.

CRKT Tighe Tac – Satin finished plain edge 3 3/8” AUS-6 blade. Black Zytel handles with aluminum bolsters. Very lightly sharpened, carried, and used. Light wear on pocket clip and bolsters. A few light scratches on the blade. Excellent lockup with no blade play in any direction. Very sharp edge. Nice strong ball detent. Blade is a little off-center when closed, but doesn’t hit the liner when opening. Small dent on one corner of the front bolster (where I dropped it on the floor.) Great knife for the price. Box included.

CRKT Large Crawford KFF – Older model with a satin finished plain edge 3 3/4” AUS-6 blade. Black Zytel handles with aluminum backspacer. This one ain’t pretty, but it’s as solid as they come. I disassembled the knife a few years ago and attempted to put a satin finish on everything – blade, liners, pocket clip, and backspacer. I just didn’t do a very good job.
The finish looks like crap, with the old blade markings still showing through. Excellent lockup with no blade play in any direction. LAWKS liner lock safety. If you’re looking for a show piece, this one isn’t for you. This is a big, heavy, ugly knife. But you can’t go wrong for the price.

Leatherman Juice KF4 – I carried this in my pants pocket for a few days and I may have turned a screw and used the file a couple of times (a guy’s gotta keep those fingernails looking good, ya know), but it was simply too big and heavy to replace my SAK. Benchmade Large Dejavoo – First Production Run #107 of 500. SG-30 plain edge satin finished blade. Smooth finish G-10 handles. This was a recent trade acquisition. Fondled a bit. I've never sharpened it and it appears to have the original edge. This is how a knife should be built. Kershaw Storm II – 3.5” Sandvik 13C26 plain edge blade. Steel handles with black grip tape inserts. Cut some paper and arm hair. Opened/closed a lot. A few scuffs here and there. In order to keep the blade centered when closed, the pivot screw has to be tightened enough that it’s harder to use the flipper. Could probably stand a drop of LocTite to keep the pivot screw tightened, too.

The clip has been epoxied into place (for right-hand carry) due to the tendency to twist and deform the surrounding Zytel. I promise the clip won’t move anymore. Great inexpensive (ugly) user knife.
