We as knife enthusiasts often give knives to those closest to us. Let's show them off here!

My lovely wife loves our daughter's piano playing. In celebration of that passion, these knives are hers:

Note: My daughter carries an Mnandi as well -- she loves pink, and as such, has one with pink-dyed box elder.

great! ebony and ivory :)
my gf doesn't want a knife (yet, working on it) and my three kids have a whole collection waiting for them when they get older (oldest is 3.5)

Oh, and by the way; did you give the mnandi's to your wife because she loves your daughter's piano playing? cause that would be a great way to give my gf loads of cool knives too.

"Ohw honey, you like our daughter's hair?" -> bloodwood mnandi
"Ohw honey, you like our daughter's doggy doll?" -> dog paw sebenza
"Ohw honey, you like our twin's playing war together?" -> tanto umnumzaan times 2
etc etc :)

I ordered this Mnandi when I found out my wife was pregnant. It just happened to come out of the shop on the day my daughter was born.

I don't have any pics, but my wife has a mini grip, one of my older brothers has a pimped 940, my younger brothers have a 950-1 and a Grip.

My dad didn't want any of the knives I showed him, his loss. My oldest brother, well I don't see him much.

I'll eventually finish a 707s for my mom.

The only knives I know my brother has for sure are a Cold Steel master tanto, which if he doesn't still have it will be on like donkey kong as I called dibs on it many moons ago. A delica, and a Sog Mini X-ray, Blind Horse mini knife, and a Leatheman . Latter three given to him by me.

My wife and daughters have all been given Swiss Army's but I'm pretty sure if you asked any of them where they are they couldn't tell you.

No special ocassion for me. My mother always asked for my knife while we were fixing up the new house, so I would give it to her then have to hunt it down later. Got tired of it so I got her a vic.classic SD with pink scales.not real fancy but I like to watch beat on it.

Gave my mother a Kabar dozier folder (3") with some paracord tied to a Fenix E01,she finds it quite useful. Mostly I buy small mora knife blades and make handles for them using short sections of different woods. This results in a very sharp blade with striking handles, they are usually quite well received. Here's one in process..

We have a fair sized box of "family knives"; inherited from my mother, grandfather (who gave me my first knife), wife's father, uncle, etc. Here's one I crafted for my wife. A Lauri progression tempered blade, ambonya (sp?) and ebony handle with nickel silver ferrule. We take knives seriously as gifts, inheritance, etc in this family.

My brother has a Leatherman Skeletool

My sister has a Kabar Dozier Small drop point.

My Dad carries my Vic Tinker which was my first knife ever.

No pics, but I gave my daughter a spyderco native when she joined the Air Force and my wife carries a small moonsong reg sebenza that I gave her for her birthday.

I also gave my uncle a BM 710d2.

My dad carries a Victorinox 'Driver' at the moment. For a year or so he carried my Kershaw Cyclone, and another SAK (a climber, I think) before that.

No one else in my family carries a knife, though.

Many of these came from me- no matter if they were bought for me as well.

I have been making mostly knives for weddings so I gave away the following:
(the wharnie and wood handled are mine, the others for my groomsmen)

On top of those I've passed along Leeks, Moras, slipjoints, to friends, family, classmates, Bladeforums members: really anybody that seems like needs a push toward carrying a knife.

no pics but my
Brother: ss delica with combo edge (he carries daily in his pocket)
Mom: PE caly 3, has it attached to her day bag
Dad: g10 endura (carries it daily in his cargo pocket)
Best friend: zdp 189 delica. She carries it in her pocket or in her purse daily
Sister: gave her a baby SAK. Not sure what she has done with it. Probably not used (we arent that close)

Yeah, I have converted a few people and they all find their knives useful:)

Tried to get the picture to work, but it didnt.

Gave my sister a Mini Grip a few years back, but I don't know if she uses it at all. I gave it to her after she came for a visit and it turned out she'd been carrying/using a no-name liner lock.
