Hello to all once again. Hope all is well. Here is another one of those must build. It is a true to form Loveless Big Bear. I recieved the pattern from Thad Buchanan who recieved it from Bob Loveless. I hope you find it interesting.

The Blade is of CPM 154 CM and was heat treated by myself with my Evenheat furnace.

The Blade is .25 thick it is 8.5 long and the o/a is 14.0 in. The S grinds are matched perfectly both sides. It was ground w/8.0 in wheel. The next will be w/5 in. wheel.

The handle is of maroon micarta with .015 thick red liners.

Fittings are 416 stainless. Guard is pinned and soldered.

Sheath is not shown but is also true to form the way Bob Loveless ment them to be done.

This is my first try at the Big Bear and it was a ton of fun to build. Can't wait to get started on the next which will be with carbon fiber handle.

I am asking $(SOLD) for the knife and can accept paypal or money order. Shipping is $20.00 conus.

Thank you.

Wow that looks awesome ! Congratulations on that !

Simply stunning Alan. Owning one of Alans knives I can attest to the impeccable quality of the grinds and fit and finish.

Alan: Excellent rendition - very well done! We must be thinking along the same lines because I've got the same knife in CPM 154 just out of my oven!! And, kudos to Thad Buchanan for sharing the pattern that Bob Loveless shared with him - I think Mr. Loveless would have wanted that.
