You imagine correctly! If you look up his instagram you can follow along the progression. I thought that was pretty cool. His instagram is public so you don't need to have to be signed up....lots of hand-polishing there, I'd imagine. Beautiful mirror finish.
Get some LED bulbs that are rated 4000k+ for a more “white light” and you’ll be pleased. All in all, awesome fixed blade dude
Thanks BB! I would love to see some pics of your chute knife! So funny that you said this, because the only knife I've bought off of the exchange here so far is a loveless chute knife by John April!!This is bad advice, I only shoot under 2700k. The CRI of the LED and the cameraman is what makes the difference. Although, a good cameraman knows how to adapt to any lighting conditions.
Anyways, great looking knifedanbot
I have a Loveless style chute knife made by John April. I'll take some pics and post them up shortly. I think you'll like it!

Very nice! Mine has a black micarta handle and a brown leather sheath. It also hasn't turned to dust! ...Phew! I left my camera at work today, but I'll take some pics too, or maybe I can link to the sale thread? Anyway, thanks for sharing that BB! Very cool!Well isn't that something! His work is clean, ain't it?
I want to call him up to see if he'll do a sub-hilt, but I don't have the time or funds for something like that just yet.
Here's my example of the chute knife. It has obviously been used and has some patina. 1085 with a brown leather sheath and it still hasn't turned to dust.

Well, I've got no photography experience and an old camera so I just do the best I can.Hm yeah sorry I’ve got no photography experience whatsoever. I was only offering my advice through my electrical stand point.
Go for it! He's great to work with!Very nice knife. I plan to buy a knife from Zac Buchanan one day.
Yeah I just noticed you had a “orangish” hue to your photos and the lower the kelvin rating (K) the more orange the light. Higher the kelvin whiter/brighter the light. Most new homes now a days are running 3000-4000kWell, I've got no photography experience and an old camera so I just do the best I can.
I would like to take nicer pics. I'll have to do some research. I don't think I'll ever be able to do Sharp by Coop quality though!!
