Hello to all. It has been a little while since I have posted a knife but here it goes:

This is a classic Loveless drop point hunter. And I have to mention that it is a winner for best utility hunter at the NWKC show for this year.
This is truly a beautiful knife and I am very proud of it.

The Blade is CPM 154 cm .210 thick. The rc is 60-61 and it has been cryogenically treated. It has been finished to a high mirror polish.

The guard is made of 416 stainless that is pinned and silver soldered.

The handle is of Bob Lovelesses favorite green canvas micarta, with red liners, 416 stainless corby rivets and lanyard hole.

The sheath is also done by me. It is hand stitched 9-10 ounce leather with lock fit. The knife clicks securely in place when holstered.

I hope you like what you see and thanks for looking. Feel free to ask questions if you have any.

You can contact me by email at warrencustomknives@yahoo.com or by phone at 503 805 3931. Please note that I do not have 24/7 access to my email.

Asking price is (SOLD) Dollars shipped Priority Mail and ins., CONUS only. International orders are welcome, but shipping costs must be discussed.

Alan:

Phew! That is one fine Loveless Dropped Hunter! It's no wonder this knife is a winner - I see extreme attention to detail with the Loveless version, including the rounded ricasso bottom and the stitching on the high grade sheath. Very nice work Alan.

Thanks a ton TK, it means alot coming from you as well.

I have always had a thing for the Loveless knives, but it seems more now than ever.

Alan: By the way, I forgot to tell you, let me know when you're entering one of these knives at a show so I won't enter mine!

Your too kind there TK, and I am flattered but You have as good a chance as anyone.
You never know if you can win one of those awards until you try. I have no idea how many tries I have made for one award. I think for me praying helps some too.
My wife and I went to the 2009 Blade show and while there, I was able to talk to Steve Johnson and John Young and look at some of thier knives, and its just rediculous how clean and flawless they are. Two really Great Guys too. I didn't sell one knife at that show, but the experience was Great. I think my wife wanted to kill somebody though. It was all good in the end. Ya know personally I think that maybe as in many artforms if a piece of work is cool and has good lines and is made with a good combo of materials, etc. than at least we have the biggest part of it won. Take care Man.

That is a winner for sure, along with the sheath. Nice touch with the double stitching.

I met Alan at Blade West in '08, amazing work and a fine gentleman. He took great lengths to explain a lot about knifemaking and knives in general to me even though I wasn't able to afford anything at his table. I had my eye on a beautiful little caper but it was $100 more than I had that day. Thank you for opening my eyes to the wonders of custom knives and helping me see them as functional tools not just artistic creation.
