Here's a little EDC that I made. I've always loved the Loveless Drop Point hunter (who doesn't!) and I was trying to recreate something that resembled it closely. I don't think I achieved my goal but I'm pleased with how it turned out anyhow. The Desert Ironwood was a nice surprise. It looked good before I started sanding, but Man O Man it really popped once I started sanding the handle down! This is one of the nicer pieces of Ironwood that I've had the pleasure of working with.

Steel: 1/8" 1080 High Carbon
Hardware: One Mosaic 1/4" pin and one 3/16" Black Micarta pin plus a Stainless Steel thong tube (and yes, I cleaned the wax from it after I took the pictures :o )
Handles: Beautiful Desert Ironwood scales with Red liners. Scales were hand sanded to 2000 grit.
Blade: 3 5/8" tip to front of scales with about 3 1/4" edge. Hand sanded to 400 grit with a slightly tapered tang. The 'smears' you see on the blade is wax I didn't get completely off. It's gone now.
OAL: 7 1/2"

I'm going to let the winner of this knife choose the sheath they want. Leather sheath only. You choose; right hand or left hand and let me know if you want it in a vertical or horizontal pouch style sheath.

Thanks Bill and JH for the kind comments. The more I sanded on that Desert Ironwood, the more it came alive! It was a real surprise to see how well it turned out.

That Ironwood looks great, and I think anyone would recognize it as a Loveless inspired knife! Very nice Donald

That looks like a lot of knife for the money. You did an excellent job.

Thanks for the kind words Ryan and Mossyhorn, I appreciate it.

Ilatsni, since you asked, I can check into it. You'll have to pay actual shipping cost though (USPS Priority). Let me know where you're located.
