Just about finished this one up tonight....couple of minor things to sort out, but pretty much done. It's going to be my new work knife, so I'm not too fussed to be honest.;)

Blade is 3" 80CrV2, overall length 6 1/2". Green canvas Micarta, red fibre liners and 303 stainless fittings.

One of my aims with this was to make it lightweight, and with thin stock (.157") and a tapered and drilled tang, I've managed to get the knife itself down to 2oz.

As always, thanks for taking time to look.

Ian.

Interesting choice of steel, Ian, looks like it's got a little bit of everything in it. Beautiful utility knife and great pocket sheath, too.

That's a beauty Ian; love the sheath.

Photography leaves something to be desired.:D:p

Thanks mate:D

You're not kidding about the photography....consistantly poor as always.

In my defence, they were taken after dark....in my light box:o

That's a fine looking little knife and pocket sheath. I'd have that in my pocket everyday too.

that's the one I want. Right there. Maybe encrusted with diamonds, but pretty much that.

LOL David,
I even made him a lighting box! him being an electrician you'd think he'd sort the lighting out....but it all boils down to him being an utter :jerkit: Ha HA HA! Ian that was for your message you posted on my page!:D
Ian,
I love the ultra thin tapered tang and the sheath is the first i've seen of yours in that style.
still not convinced about the thickness of the handle though, but it'll grow on me.
Ringya soon to sort out getting the grinder over to yours m8.

VERY nice Ian. I also like the leather work on the sheath as well. Looks to be a handy shape for various tasks.

Thanks for all your comments (except yours of course Bri:D)

As for my lightbox, You'll be shocked to know that I have finally got some lights rigged up and even more shocked to know that they were used to take these pictures.....as you rightly said....:jerkit::D
