Ok, the video is on its way to next in line. I liked the video very much. It gave me a better Idea of the craftsmanship envolved in making quality cutlery. Thanks allot.
That being said. (LET THE FLAMING BEGIN)MR. Loveless seems like a nice guy and I am sure I am off base here, but he seems like he knows that he makes some of the best knives around and with that ego, I don't think I would save up to buy one of his pieces. Sorry I know I am alone on this one, but that's the impression I got.
DaveH,
email sent re: adding another name to the list. Thanks.
If anyone else wants to get in on this, feel free to send me an email with mailing info. monty1@scinternet.net
I don't mind letting this thing stay out there for a while if other people want to see it.
Here's where we are right now.

Rcv'd the Loveless video from Ed on Saturday (Happy New Year back at ya, Ed!), and watched it Sunday night. Highly informative and easy to watch. Good stuff. Very precision maker, and a legend in his own time.
Al: I thought I posted on this thread, but do not see it. I also liked the video, it is easy to see how Bob Loveless estabolished himself as a leader in the world of knives. I took a couple of pages of notes while watching it. Just his comments on makers, how and why, design are worth considering.
The video is great, but you guys can learn from Bob first hand. I have worked out a deal with Bob for up to 12 open house workshop days in Bobs shop this year. Any member of CalKnives can attend at no cost. The only catch is that you must be a CalKnives member to get in. Membership is $30 per year.
Anyone interested in meeting and learning from the man himself in his shop drop me a e-mail.
