I'm a big loveless fan and want to make some myself .so what I want to know is has anyone got plans/drawing scale size for me to try and use to make my own copys of his work

Doesn't that seem a little like stealing a design?

Edit: all fine, it seems like Loveless doesn't mind his designs being used.

Um, no, as far as I know Bob Loveless allowed people to use his designs freely. He's a legend in the knife making community, as such some of his knives have become standard patterns because they're such excellent designs. Drop Point Hunter, Sub-hilt Fighter, New York Special, etc. :)

Interesting! That's pretty cool of him to let others use his designs.

Making a Loveless style knife is one of the rites of passage for knifemakers- everyone does it!
He made a great video that's pretty easy to come by, of his process that shows the whole step by step.
They're interesting in that a lot of em have a milled guard that goes on from the blade side instead of the tang side, which is a really good technique to have in your bag of tricks.

I don't have a milling machine so mine will be cut and file by hand .I appreciate all the hep from you guys thanks

Funny thing is every maker I've talked to that has Loveless patterns won't share them. You could probably contact Bob's partner too.

I just found the best photos I could and printed them for patterns...then again I wasn't trying to do an exact copy.
