For your consideration is this Loveless style Chute knife in CPM-154/Siberian Mammoth Ivory. The ivory is very solid with lots of bark figure - killer grade stuff. You have hit upon the very problem. They’re all fantastic. I own about 10 Steingass knives. I also own a truck. Fill truck with gas or purchase Steingass chute knife? Both cost about the same, but somewhere along the line one must make tough decisions. If he will stop making knives, or at least stop advertising them, things would be much better for my wife’s checkbook (and probably the numerous offshore accounts, which I suspect exist, but I can’t yet prove). Anyway, it is a beautiful knife…as usual.
