Gentlemen:

For your consideration is this Presentation Grade Loveless style Dropped Hunter in CPM-154/Desert Ironwood Burl. The knife is ground to the original Loveless pattern - the only changes are a slightly thicker stock and thumb serrations on the spine. The solder joint is perfectly executed with no pinholes. The tang is radically tapered and has black liners. Superb fit and finish. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it," PM, or email gets it. $385 delivered CONUS. PayPal preferred to tsteingass@yahoo.com. Thanks for viewing and all comments are welcome.

Nice all around, and a little about Mr. Loveless prices for a knife similar to this but way back in 1978 or 79 when I was visting my first Blade Show in Kansas City as I was on my way to Idaho for vacation. I spotted Mr. Loveless by his face an that paint hat he always wore back then. I did not have any extra money to spend but strolled up close to his table where I could see this famous already Knife maker an look at his knives. My only conversation with him ever was , Bob How much for that drop point their on your table. He looked up at me and said ( As much as I can get ) with a wink in his eye. A man standing there also was getting ready to buy one of his Drop Points an I saw him peel out 600.00 to maybe 650.00 dollars to buy the knife . I was just getting started in making knives an the average price for most hunter types was 40 to 80.00 bucks. So That tells you his price range back then. Now look at Mr. Steingass 's Gorgeous knife here an he is asking almost 40 years later a little over only half what Bob was asking 40 years ago. What you see here is a Master in the making an his price is super fair an just . I wish I could buy it ,but I will one day when I see that Sheep Horn Clip point I just Can't resist.
