Gentlemen:

The BF member that bought this knife thought he was getting my bigger Loveless style dropped hunter, so I told him to return this one - now he's on the waiting list and here we go again - the knife is new. :) This is probably is my most versatile design. The size is just right for a lot of things, which is what an every day carry should be. The wood on this handle is exceptional Desert Ironwood burl with a sun burst coming up through the marblecake swirls.....quite rare. The knife comes with a right hand custom sheath made by Chris Kravitt of Treestump Leather. It holds the knife securely yet draws easily. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it" gets it. $260 plus $10 shipping - Paypal payment preferred to my account tksteingass@frontier.com Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.

Best regards,

TK

Son of a gun TK, can't pass that one up. I'll take it.

Just to be clear though, the one I have on order I need in the larger size. :D

Kirk:

The knife is yours - thank you and thanks for the speedy payment. We'll get this out in Monday's mail to you. Don't worry - gotcha down for the big boy!!

This knife is sold.

That is one sweet knife!

The misunderstanding of the size of the knife is, well...understandable! Many times it's hard to judge the size of a knife without something to compare it to. I'm constantly amazed at the size of some knives when seen in a hand shot or up against a dollar bill or similar object. I'd personally like to see more knife makers use some type of shot for comparison and state the height of the blade. It can be hard to tell whether or not you're looking at a 7/8ths blade or a 1 1/4"!

Agree completely & IMO your suggestions are spot on. It happened to me & I learned long ago not to let it happen again. Pictures can definitely make a knife look bigger than it is & why all dimensions should be included in a sales thread. Not to mention including a picture showing the thickness of the handle. If there's a taper or filework in that area, it's even more important to show it. I'm amazed how many makers fail to do that, especially when they post 4-5 pictures.
