These are really nice David and a heck of deal at that price! Have you ever made a NYS or Hideout?

#4 is a Mini-Loveless Style Drop Point Hunter. This knife turned out so sweet I can't contain my excitement. Size is ~65% of the original Loveless tracing pattern I use for the full size model. It is proportionally correct in nearly every aspect. This is a beautiful little knife, and one I'll be making many more of. Just for the record I have 4 more that are nearly complete, in that they only need handle scales attached. Specs are as follow :

- Steel- 1/8" ATS 34, austinitized, cryoed in LN, and triple tempered to 59-60 HRC
-Handle Scales- Green Canvas Micarta w/ Bright Red Liner
-Blade length- ~2-5/8"
-Over all length- 5-5/8"
-Grind- 8" dia. hollow ground bevels-tapered tang
Included is a hand made 8-9 oz. veg. tanned leather sheath with a nice snap fit

Cost- $245 + shipping SOLD more mini's available-contact me if interested

Hi Ben - Thank you very much for the kind words. In regards to the NYS & the Hideout........... not yet. I've had many requests though. Being a Knifemaker & an ABS Bladesmith I juggle between forging & stock removal. That being said, since I was a young boy I've been a hunter, trapper & fisherman. Because of that I focus my "knifemaking" aka stock removal knives mostly on Loveless & Herron style hunters, rather than personal protection and fighter style knives............... at this point in time ;) However, the draw of the beautiful lines on the knives you mentioned are pulling hard, really hard, on my heart. So it's not out of the question to see some of the aforementioned on my bench sometime soon

Awesome David, I hope you post pics when you get a chance to try them. That semi skinner has a great look to it, and you can't go wrong with the classic green and red on the others.
Again, really nice stuff.

-Over all length- 7"

2nd SideKick

Dandy work David. I still treasure the double bevel grind Loveless you made for me years ago.
Sorry I missed the bear hunt!:D

David: That's some fine work - among the best I've seen. Well done!

I'm game for one of those loveless "mini" versions...

do you use wood or other steel than the one used above?

Hey Robino- I'll add whatever type scales you'd like to one of the mini's I have on my bench. In regards to different types of steel - these of course are in 1/8" ATS 34. CPM154 or 154CM are the only other type steels I make my Loveless style knives from. If you want to pin down one of the mini's on my bench shoot me an email and we'll talk about handle scale options. All of my contact info can be found on my website ;) Thanks

Amazing work. Wish I had the funds.

Thanks Doc  fwiw, I still treasure the Ithaca SxS, especially in the fall. Over the years that sweet little 20 has taken more game than I can count. Everything from grouse & snowshoe hares to goose :)

Yes, I'm sorry about the Bear hunt too................. more than you'll ever know. You know, it's never too late. You still have today & tomorrow to apply for this years hunt. If you're still game ?? ........... http://www.mdnr-elicense.com/Welcome/Default.aspx Hunt Period - Sept. 10 - Oct. 21, Hunt Number 04 on the drawing application. It'll cost ya $5 to apply. You get a tag, I'll put you in front of a Bruin.

Thanks again for the kudos on the knives Ben. BTW, do you remember Logo's of the Loveless Legend ?? I still reference that beautiful piece of work.
