Finally have some good natural light here after a hazy day yesterday caused by a fire in the glades.

Hard to capture on a cell phone camera, but the red ALMOST sparkles in the right light.

that is really cool dgf, is that a custom scale? Who made it? [emoji106]
Thanks for the compliment. It's a custom Brad Zinker knife. It's based on a FR model. I had it made clip-less, with more rounded corners and 20cv steel. Fits my EDC needs perfectly and the red shred made it a bit unique in am understated way.

correct me if im wrong but the red shards is not actually carbon fiber at all? it def does look very nice.

I know that there is red carbon fiber. So maybe it is. But I'm not totally sure.

carbon fiber cannot be colored. the red is most likely another type of material that has been dyed red. they dont detail that information. sorry, ive talked to many many people in the composites industry. again, it doesnt take anything away from how great it looks.

Red shred carbon fiber is actually 12k carbon infused with red colored epoxy. It is actually made by several specialty companies and not to be confused with carbon/Kevlar composites.

Thats pretty awesome

The red shred isn't doing it for me, but I like the looks of the knife. I almost bought an FR, but it had holes in the handles that I just couldn't warm up to. Felt like a great little knife, though.

Damn dgf!!! It looks even more amazing in that light brother!!
I'm loving your knife even more now!
BZ did an amazing job on that one!!

We manufacture the shred carbon material here in Orlando, Fl. As far as I know we are the only company manufacturing this material. The marble carbon is similar but not the same. We make it in a variety of transparent and opaque colors. We also make it with glow resin as well as copper powder and silver powder. 407-857-5343 Composite Craft, Inc.

Really cool scales dgf, and knife. Im really digging all the new cf materials coming out lately.
