low cost razor that works

just picked up a rite aid brand "matrix 3"razor-
went for blades for my mach 3 but they are way over priced even though you get a great shave-
tried a cheaper 3 blade rite aid brand and it was ok unless you had a weeks growth-then it sucked-would get all clogged up-the mach 3 never cloggs-

just tried the new one(matrix3) on 3 days growth and it worked fine-

5 bucks with 3 cartridges
and 4 pack refills are 5 bucks-compared to 10 for the mach 3 blades

I was about to post this in my thread Multi-Blade Razors when I saw your post.

Might be the same razor I saw recently at WalMart -
but it was branded Personna Matrix3 - similar pricing - I think $4 something for razor with cartridges, or the pack of 4 cartridges.

I looked on the web for a pic but no luck so far -
however I found that Personna is a brand name of American Safety Razor Co. (http://www.asrco.com)

The other razor cartridge from Personna also looked interesting at $3 something for a pack of 4 was the Personna Tri-Flexxx -
Cartridges fit Personna® Tri-Flexxx®, Sensor® 3, Sensor Excel® and Sensor® razors

I was very tempted to try both - but resisted so far because I like the Gillette Mach3 Turbo and each cartridge lasts me about 100 shaves, so price is not really a major consideration compared to comfort and good shave.
