Yea I will be getting more Mora knives. First once won a place in mind heart.

BTW gonna get a Kershaw OSO Sweet for an EDC. Seems like a great knife for $20! Also never have had a flipper, they seem neat.

The Benchmade Lone Wolf Landslide and Mini Landslide are the best value knives I have seen. They are linerless and have N680 steel that is nearly rust proof. It holds an edge well, and is nice and slim.

I've got a lot of budget blades I like. Many have been mentioned. Thermite, Utilitac II, SAKs, etc....

The Enlan EL-01 takes the cake in my book. Hard to beat for around $16.

That said, right now my favorite inexpesive knife is the Kershaw Tremor. I spent a week carrying this knife almost exclusively and it is just fantastic for the price. Kershawguy has them going on close out right now for $25! Get em while you can because they are discontinued: http://kershawguy.com/products-page/low-priced-imported-items/1950-tremor-closeout/

Nice and the EL01 is a great nice; I gifted mine to my nephew and he loves it.

My father scooped up two Tremors from a local tractor supply store for $12.00 each a while back... I went to the same store and although they were out of Tremors :( I managed to snag four Crown II's for $4.00 each, all BNIB.:cool:

Sweet deals.

Hey listen now, we paid for em fair and square...

They had Kershaw Black Horse II's (camo version) for $10-$12 as well so my dad bought one. I couldn't believe the prices but I guess they were clearing them out. My only regret was not buying more of the Crown II's when I had the chance. ;):D

Once upon a time I got two Kershaw Storm II's from a walmart that was clearing them out; $15.00 each.:thumbup::thumbup::cool:

I've managed to find some awesome deals over the years.

I know this is about knives, but I hope you don't mind if I expand it just a little. The Fiskars X7 hatchet chops and splits WAAAYYY above its weight and price. Right now they're a whopping $21 on Amazon, the lowest I've seen in a long time.
I honestly think that for the outdoorsman on a budget, you could not go wrong with a Mora, Fiskars X7, and a Bahco or Corona folding saw. I can't honestly think of a single cutting/chopping job you couldn't do with that trio, all for around $60 combined, and not weighing a whole hell of a lot.
Building shelter, starting fires cleaning game/fish, whatever the task, that trio could handle it. They all perform out of their price range, and weigh very little.

Noticing a trend in what everyone is considering good... Majority of the grinds on these knifes are some variation of a flat grind. Rather it be Spydercos full flat, Mora's saber grind.

Wonder if there is a connection between the grinds edge retention and perspective of the value of the knife.

Pretty much any "value" knives I would mention have already been. But a few that I totally scored on were some of the Kershaw onion series.

A local sporting goods store were clearing out their Kershaw's for some reason. So they had them at 50% off their listed MAP prices, then had some kind of sale (like labor day or the like) with another 30% off any marked sticker prices. So I pretty much cleared them out of the remaining Leek's, Scallion's, and Chive's. I'm pretty sure they took a loss on them. Kept a couple for myself (backups to the ones I already had), and gave the rest away as gifts over a number of months. Every now and then you just run into that price you just cannot let go. The last time I went back to that store, they had a bunch of BG Gerbers. Uh, yeah.
