Getting it ready.

Oysters on ice. Fresh in from the Gulf.

My boy wanted a Porterhouse.
I helped finish it, and the bones went to the mutts.

We like them grilled with the secrete sauce, parm, and a jalapeno.

My new Spec Op Sheath for the RC6. It fits like a glove.

I’m using the front pocket to store a fire steel right now.
I’m looking for a small tin/kit to make a PSK out of.

Here is a shot of the sheath opening. It's pretty solid, holds tight.

Here is a shot of the BRKT Aurora and the RC6 together.

The Barky just for good measure.

Great pics. Although I don't like oysters, I think I want some mussels now..

Nice RC6 and those oysters look good!

Also, you said that the sheath fits tight. Is it so tight that you can hang it tip up and have it not come out with out the stap on?

Nice pics. The RC6 looks great, but I have to confess that patina on the Aurora is fantastic.

It will hold the knife without slippage when turned upside down. I don't know how long that will last with use, but it does for now.

Never figured the oyster eating thing out. Everyone adds all sorts of stuff to them such as cocktail sauce, jalapenos, cheese, ketchup and just about everything else. Reminds me of the old joke about cooking a carp in cow shit, then throwing the carp away and eating the cow shit. Why not just eat oysters instead of putting all this stuff on them?

I like'em cooked with a dap of cocktail sauce.

Can't do raw, it's like sucking up a mouthful of salty snot.

I use to eat raw oysters and just lost the taste for them. Now I sit around while everyone else eats them and all I eat is the horseradish that they bring out to smother the taste of the oyster with.

I don't know; I suppose it is in part, the fun of the process, mixed with a little alcohol, and sprinkled with the company. We eat them raw at the beach when we've just harvested some or bought them off the boat. I don't like to chance that on those that are shipped up country though.

I've never heard the carp joke before, so I couldn't say much beyond the fact that I'd rather eat oysters.:D

I think oysters and horse radish/cocktail sauce make for a great combo. Like PB&J's, or Steak and potatoes, and liver and onions. It does depend on how much you sauce you use though.
Wait.. another hijacked thread!!! Naked hottie pics incomming?!?!
