Great pics. Although I don't like oysters, I think I want some mussels now..

I used to go snorkeling in the Adriatic Sea around the Island of Trogir in Croatia. We would collect the mussels from the submerged anchors in the bay. You could get hundreds from the ropes or from the sunken boats in the area. We'd get those and things they called "fingers" from the rocks around the island. My BIL would take us fishing and we'd get everything from shrimp with claws to lobsters without claws. We even caught a good size octopus. They taught us how to cook them up and serve them in salads and as a main dish. That was some great eatin right there.

I've never heard the carp joke before, so I couldn't say much beyond the fact that I'd rather eat oysters.

I'm not an oyster fan, but I must say, I'm with John on this one.
