Do you like em? Examples would be the Al Mar SERE 2000 and current DDR folders. Here is the Al Mar:

I don't like em one bit. I prefer having my clips placed where Emerson puts em. Gives me enough grip with addition of a lanyard to execute a wave drawing %99.9 of the time.

I wish every knife I have was fitted with a low rider clip. I don't like big parts of the handle sticking out of my pocket and getting them out of my pocket isn't a problem. Maybe you guys wear your pants too tight. :p

I like 'em, not a deal breaker if there isnt one on the knife, but if I had a choice I would choose a low rider clip.

IWB carry for me except at the office. More descrete and offers some protection of my tummy :).

Generally I like my Strider, proud stance out of the pocket. In dress slacks (you might carry the Sere 2000 in nicer pants) it could be a pretty good idea. And a lot of people like to go under the radar, me I like people being a little afraid of me if they're afraid of knives.

I prefer "normal" clip placement, It gives me a better grip when withdrawing the knife.

I switch every knife to tip-up if the design lets me.

It's not a dealbreaker, low rider, I mean, but I too like where Emerson puts the clips.....

:)

I like the low riding clip on the Fallkniven PXL folder. I carry IWB and find that a belt covers the external view of the clip. Makes for very discrete carry; sheep-peeps friendly. Means I have to grab it by its 'sides' and is not as easy to retrieve as it would be with some of its bolster sticking up but it is not as easy to accidentally knock loose and lose. Swings and slides I guess!

Low-rider clips suck for a SD Folder and will slow your deployment down..(SOGs are horrible for this) If you like low-ride clips for your utility EDC, I find nothing wrong with that. But if you carry a knife for tactical or SD purposes you want one with alittle purchase sticking out of your pocket for easier and faster deployment.

I love the low ride clip on the Rukus. Makes that big knife ride low key.
The handle is smooth enough, and the clip isn't too tight, so it comes out quite easily.

I'm having Reese reposition the clip on my HD Maxx an inch from the butt.

I prefer a lowrider clip. I don't "fast draw" my knife and I prefer the knife to be as unobtrusive as possible.

Maybe I'm just slow on the draw both ways, but I can draw my lowriders just as fast as the ones that poke out of my pocket some. If I was carrying a knife for SD it would be a fixed blade or at least something waved, but I've other, louder things for SD.;)

I to am a huge fan of the low rider clip. STR hooked me up with a tip up lowrider for my Para, and this has made it much more carry friendly clipped to the front of my PT shorts when I run. While I don't care who knows I carry a knife, there are times when having a lower profile so as not to draw unwanted attention is very advantagious. I don't feel that it has made it any harder to draw the knife, than it was in its original configuration.

I like them. The less that's sticking out of my pocket, the less there is to snag on a tree limb or corner of a desk. Plus, there's less for snatch and grab artists to grab hold of in a crowd.

I like them, but not to the point that I have to have one on my knife. Having said that, I really like the Al Mar Sere, but the clip's kind of like SOG's lowrider clip. I prefer the ones STR makes & that DDR uses (Which I believe Knifekits carries). The clip's rounded where it rides on tip of the pocket, so it's doesn't snag/grab anything like on the Al Mar & SOGs.

As far as slowing my draw, that's what FBs are for.
