Low rider clips

Like stated above it is not a deal breaker for me but I do lean for the higher riding clips which are easy to grab. The combination of tight clip and low ride can make a knife slippery to get out.

I do not have a single knife with a low rider clip. Matter-of-fact, the ones I usually carry stand tall and proud, sticking way up out of my pocket. And not once has anyone accosted me and asked "whats that thing sticking out of your pocket?"

Not even the guys wearing the blue uniforms.

Y'all can have your stealth clips.

A low rider clip is not a deal breaker for me either. Nor is it one of the first things I look at on a knife. If it has a low rider clip great, if not, not a big deal.

If it has a low rider clip, but I like the knife enough, I'll have new clip holes drilled;)

I don't like low rider clips. I LOVE EM!!!

They are faster on the draw for me.

I only carry waved knives.

This comes up from time to time and I've always been pretty outspoken around here about my dislike (more like downright hatred) or low rider clips. They are a deal breaker for me if there are no other places to mount the clip.

In my opinion the only knives that need a lower riding, deeper carrying clip are smaller knives that have less handle in the pocket. A larger knife has plenty of handle in the pocket for retention that it doesn't need to ride so deep.

I have carried a knife with a deep carry clip and (among other things I hated about that knife) the clip was the worst.

On more than one occasion when trying to get the knife out of my pocket, other things came out with it.

I couldn't care less who knows I'm carrying a knife, and I've said this before, but the vast majority of non-knife people aren't going to know that that clip is your pocket is a knife. There's no sense in being paranoid if you're carrying legally.

I also can't stand how a clip jutting out from the butt end of the knife really destroys the ergos of the knife, the same goes for clips that are bent around on themselves.

In my opinion, that is the best clip on the market. Perfect size, and perfect placement.

I like enough knife in my pocket to keep it there, but enough sticking out so I can get a hold of it.

I've said before that I hope, and I don't see it happening anytime soon, that the knife companies don't think we all want low ride clips. We don't, and I'm glad to see that more and more of us don't like them.

I believe the problem with your low rider clip wasn’t the clip.
It was the SOG that was the problem. J/K

Interesting comments.

Low riders all the way. When I buy a folder I look at how it can possibly be converted to a low ride clip. I just prefer them, no explanation needed!:)

It depends when I go out skating I'd rather have the clip nice and deep like a SOG so if I fall I will only scratch the clip and not the knife itself. But just walking around I like to have a little sticking out so I can pull it out easier.

The one on my Benchmade 615 is as low as I like due to anything lower being difficult to get a hold on!

I'm solidsoldier on the Devil's forum.

my fallkniven PXL has a great clip.

it stist really well in the pocket in spite of its size and weight because of the low-rider type of clip.

I was carrying a Gerber, then switched over to a SOG (Flash). Really nice, small easy opening folder with a clip that puts the knife below the edge of your pocket. The shape of the clip also makes it easy to clip on your pocket and also remove. Check them out. Good prices on Amazon.
