LT Wright; Please help me choose between the...

Well, I just talked to the folks at LT Wright.
They only offer the GNS in Saber and Scandi, not flat.
Bummer.
Anybody got any quality alternative suggestions for a GNS type
knife in flat grind?

I would look at the Gen5 in Saber. It is a little longer and robust for general use. Or my favorite the forest trail in kydex.forest trail.JPG

Or you can regrind your favorite scandi knife into a saber, flat or convex grind.........

With LT’s knives I would go with A2 as my 1st choice or O1 as the second choice. I would go with flat grind if I wanted something that slices better or saber if I were going to abuse it. I hate scandi personally, unless doing something wood/carving related, but that’s personal preference. For woods/camp use I prefer something as close to a spear point as I can get. Handle style and blade length are very personal as well. I prefer neutral handles and the sweet spot of 4-5.5 inches of blade, 3 inches if it’s edc. Basically, that describes one of his Kephart style knives like the Genesis, Gen 3, Next Gen (if edcing).
