Lucky Izula owner

Awesome story man. Great idea on the Izula's.

I do like that color and design of Paracord on the hanging one by the Christmas tree. Gonna have to get some. ;)

I got it locally (St. Louis) at a military surplus store -- Uncle Sam's.

This was a 50' pack called G.I. Plus, Type lll Commercial 550 paracord. They had three styles of camo, I don't know what this is called (not marked on the package). One was a desert camo, one had some dark blue in it I didn't like, and this stuff.

I posted some links here to places with good paracord selections.

I believe there's just the one, Troy, Illinois outside St. Louis. Check "Contact Us" or "About Us" for more info.

It IS nice to have a place with a lot of products to play with. I'd looked at a couple other places locally then found these guys. That's when I knew I was in trouble. As my thinking got more deranged, I devised the buying scheme I mentioned earlier. We'll see how long that works ;)

GPK only had Izula's but that's what I was looking for. Now if I don't get to handle a bigger RAT, I know I can count on them. But as I kinda said, I'm done buying knives.....................

We are truly lucky to have a shop like Grand Prairie right in our back yard in St Louis! Congrats on the Izula I love mine though I ordered it before GP was carrying them. GP and RAT are a great combo I was glad to see it when they recently started carrying the line.

Not only are RAT knives addictive but so is that knife shop I'm in there every couple of months even thought it is a 40 mile drive.

Gadgetaholic - I can't see well enough to say. I'd say mine has four warm earthtones, pretty good contrast from darkest to light. I seem to remember one of the choices said something like woodland.

Hey, chris in mo, yep. I went by GPK four times in December, some weekend, one mid-week, and they were pretty busy each time. Considering their remote location, it's not like they're getting curious foot traffic. I think they're going to be there a while. We'll have to put a bug in their ears if they haven't expanded the RAT line next time through. :)

Thanks all for the kind words. Let me say in full disclosure, I'm now aware I screwed up the paracord wrap and I'm gutted. I always get ahead of myself. I've since rewrapped it right, removing the innards of the paracord. Much better, IMO, but the tree is gone so no chance to redo the pic right.

I think it looks pretty good the way it's shown. I'd like to see the rewrapped version? Anyway, congrats on your new Izula!!
