Luminox customer service....

As someone who has broken many watch crystals I find this to be a reasonable price. I have paid considerably more than that to correct some of my uh.. "blunders"...

I think I side with you on this. Oh course, I haven't had the interaction that others here have had. My impression of my three Luminox watches are first rate. I can understand a "limited 10 year warranty" (or whatever). They need to cover themselves in cases of abuse or neglect. I can assure that at least 7 out of 10 questionable warranty services are often compromised into the consumers favor. It's all in the presentation and expectations express, and the tone in which it were offered.

I can't speak for a broken crystal on a watch as I have never broken one. What I do not understand is forking out nearly $200.00 for a watch with this reputation...and it is a good watch...and they won't fix this particular watch that suffered this particular fate.

Speaking of mine.

Did you look at it? The damned thing is almost still NIB even though it has been in the top desk drawer as a paper weight! Ha! For a YEAR NOW!

I don't know Don. That's a bear about your Luminox but it doesn't seem to sway your loyalty to them. A smack on concrete is no walk in the park for a watch but I wouldn't own one that couldn't take it. I know there's always flawed examples but with this experience and the lousy customer service they've given you, I'd be through with them, bright hands or not.

Gene,

I don't buy into all of the Navy SEAL B.S. that surrounds the watch. It kept really good time, to its' credit, it took a hell of a smack and the damn thing still runs, just an inertia transfer knocked one hand off...

Their Customer Service is a real pisser though.

I received the repair quote on the 18th and authorized it the same day.
I got a confirmation of my authorization on the 23rd and was told 7 to 10 days turnaround on the repair.
Depending on how you look at it that makes today either the 11th or the 16th day and still no watch.
An e-mail request for some kind of update came back with "Your watch shipped last week."
That's it.
No exact date...
No tracking info...

VERY unimpressed so far.
