:D:DI was sitting at the forge a couple of days ago and was getting hungry. I have been wanting to get a Microwave for the shop but it has not happened yet. I remembered a Blacksmith friend said we can roast hot dogs over the coal forge any time we wanted. Well I looked at my propane forge and the flame exiting from the inlet pipe. Well a piece of stainless rod and a couple of sausages and lunch was served about 5 minutes later. The only thing I had to be careful of was the flame was so hot I had to keep the dogs away from it. So next time you have hunger pangs just fire up the forge and have lunch:D:D

Oh I forgot, The best thing is when the hot drippings hit either the hot fire brick or hot inlet pipe, it burns and gives off a great smell. Almost like a BBQ. Smells a lot better than COAL smoke.

You can make smores standing across the room. It gets hot in there. Silverware is optional. Heck plates are optional.

Between this post and the one where the potato was made in the HT oven... You can essentially turn a work shop into a kitchen... All you gotta do is toss a fridge in there to hold the food. Then you'd technically only have to leave to sleep. Unless of course you wanted to stick like a cot in there too :D

I would suggest wheat bun scales and seal it up with some mustard and ketchup. Let us know how the finished product turns out! :D

We had to burn pine needles this weekend, about 20 wheelbarrows full, it took all day. The kids roasted hotdogs on the burn pile and had a blast. Need to try it with the forge next.
