I cannot imagine that the older line can continue to go up much beyond it's current value. However, if you get the right stuff from the new line, like custom ASH's or the SE's those will go up much faster 4 years down the road.
Putting it in perspective. 10 years from now, an ASH SE in INFI is for sale, versus this BBSH in A2. Both will be collectibles, both will be old and out of production. The INFI is the better steel. To a pure SH collector the BBSH will be worth a bit more, but not much more than the ASH. Certainly not double and an ASH SE may be worth more, who knows. Hence, why some people were not happy to see the ASH come out. It takes away from the rarity of the original. Busse does not normally bring back past lines, however, I think the premise on this one was that it had never been made of INFI so it was ok, maybe, who knows.
.
I have a few BBSHSHs, one of them in the picure is like yours. Email me if you have any questions.

that is indeed a rare commodity.
worth at least 1200.00, perhaps more. i have never seen one identical on the exchange.
the only stamped busse i have seen was a badger attack, basically a smaller version of your steel heart. i was lucky enough to score the badger.
i say keep it.
you're gonna put these on the exchange??????
id like first shot at the ms!!!!
O.K., now you have seen three more:

$1250's pretty low ball IMHO. Not that I'm an expert, but if it were mine and I was auctioning it off I'd start the bidding at $1250 and watch it go up beyond $1500. That's exactly why I wouldn't sell it at all if I had one. All these "I'll take it's" should be a red flare that you should hang on to it. You have something totally awesome that everyone wants. That's the best way to earn the title HOG, by HOGgin' what you can.![]()
part of what drives prices up is what is seen on ebay, even though it is not necessarily representative of market value.
Spoken like a true HOG.
It sure is a perty one in pristine condition. I'll bet the offers are pouring in, which again, is exactly why you should HOG onto it. You've got something everyone wants, see?![]()
forget cobalt, he's confused, too much scotch has muddled his noggin, just go ahead and send the knife to the company store for appraisal. :thumbup:People say keep it, that have tons of knives. If you are someone who has many Busses and do not need to get rid of it, then do so.
However, I wanted to get Busses and had this old Busse that I am not likely to use, I could make my money back on it and get to free user Busses new out of it easily. I would jump on it.
Everyone in here telling you to keep it have many knives. If I had it, I would keep it as well, but I have plenty of users. Do you? if so keep it. The value will not go down. Unless a secret stash of 1000's shows up someday.
I smell a Rat.
What you think someone would try to force another to sell their knife? :thumbdn:
Boy, I'd like to find out who should be ashamed of themselves?
...You should not try to force someone to sell their stuff to you.

You know there is a thing called etiquete. You send one email. If the person is interested they will let you know. You should not try to force someone to sell their stuff to you. There are some here that do this. Gwen, since the value cannot go down take your time and decide what it is you want if anything. You're in a great spot. You can make a boatload of money or you can make your money back on it and get several freebies along with it I am sure. I am in no position to buy a knife right now, so I care not what you do, but do not jump into anything.
