Gentlemen:
I wasn't happy with the handle so I reworked it, took some better photos, and am reposting it here and on my website.....there's a film of oil glistening on the ricasso - sorry about that.
I am an admirer of the work done by Belgian bladesmith Samuel Lurquin - this is my interpretation of one of his hunters in 1095 and Desert Ironwood burl. The hollow ground blade was hand rubbed to 2000 grit and etched to reveal a vivid hamon line. The flats are hand rubbed to 600 grit - unsharpened swedge. The blade is set in Exhibition Grade Desert Ironwood burl with G-Flex and a stainless pin. Yellow/black G-10 spacers. The guard was machined .005" undersized, driven on the blade then soldered. Thumb serrations on the spine. No sheath yet so you may specify right or left. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it" gets it. $525 plus $20 shipping - International shipping will need additional postage I'm sure. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.
