Gentlemen:

I am an admirer of the work done by Belgian bladesmith Samuel Lurquin - this is my interpretation of one of his hunters in 1095 and Desert Ironwood burl. The hollow ground blade was hand rubbed to 2000 grit and etched to reveal a vivid hamon line. The flats are hand rubbed to 600 grit - unsharpened swedge. The blade is set in Exhibition Grade Desert Ironwood burl with G-Flex and a stainless pin. Yellow/black G-10 spacers. The guard was machined .005" undersized, driven on the blade then soldered. Thumb serrations on the spine. No sheath yet so you may specify right or left. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it" gets it. $525 plus $20 shipping - International shipping will need additional postage I'm sure. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.

V/R,

TK

Beautiful ironwood. Blade has a European flair to it. Ratio of length to width and curve of the cutting edge. Nice!

Oh yes ~~ that one would look good in my line-up for sure.!** That Burl just puts the knife in another league by itself.*

That is awesome TK, a definite departure from your usual.

Edit: Meant that in a good way. :D

I have a lot of Lurquin knives and yours has not to be "ashamed" when I compare it with them.
Knowing your perfect finish the price is a real bargain. Congrats.

Gentlemen: Thanks for taking the time to comment on my work - it's appreciated. :)
