Hello brothers,
This would be the second knife in preparation for next years shows and it's a luxury puukko. Simple in design yet luxurious and elaborate in composition this would be a luxury user that would make you proud and flawlessly execute it's duty.
The blade is made out using the best O1 high carbon tungsten vanadium tool steel variation and features a razor sharp scandi zero grind. It was surface etched for better corrosion resistance and for the touch needed in this setup
. Makers mark is carried by a nice and stylish brass dot inlay.
The handle itself is special not only through composition but also through design an execution. The manual carvings add value and finishes in a 'gentleman' manner the look. I prepared a solid homemade 'Zebra stripes' damascus bolster composed of 3 different materials: iron,O2 steel and W1 steel that once surface etched goes excellently with the blade and creates a contrasting piece through the rest of the handle.
The next part is an exclusive trio composed of 'Nebula' stab maple burl, Finnish A grade moose antler and Arizona desert ironwood; all nicely fitted and carefully buffed. Main body is a unique piece of Romanian 'royal blue' stained hornbeam burl that ends in another nicely carved and finished piece of 'nebula' maple burl and a discreet carbon fiber/brass mosaic pin.
In between there are two subtle polished golden brass accents and black v fiber.
If anyone interested, the price for this knife would be 375 usd. Please add 45 usd for a nice vegetable tanned thick ox leather sheath made by my lovely wife (on request)
