LV-04 Knife steel??

I was browsing around for knives and can across the Lone Wolf "Loveless" skinner advertized to be made from a LV-04 stainless steel. I have not been able to find any info on it at all. Is this something they made up???

probably made up , I never heard of it .Other knives there are made of 420HC, nothing to write home about and S30V, the best stainless available. You could always ask for the composition.

got a reply from lone wolf knives. they were very informative. the LV-04 is actually a modified 440B with the adition of vanadium. Looks look a very good quality blade. the LV stands for loveless... the steel is crafted so it can be forged.
