regarding the wharncliffe in post #28 here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...easy-file-knives/page2?highlight=lx_emergency
after a long wait i contacted alexander whether the blade was still available, because i am a sucker for wharncliffes and his file knives caught my eye.
low and behold it was still for sale so i agreed to the sale. althroughout communication was very direct (mostly via facebook) and alexander a very nice fellow to chat with.
so this is basically what amounts to a good sale/buy...
what came next however prooves that he is willing to go above and beyond the standard to deliver a good knife and have a satisfied customer:
on the day we made the deal and the transfer, alexander contacted me and asked whether i would mind if he would give the knife a slight regrind, it would however delay shipping (would have been in the mail by the next day/friday, so it would have ment shipping on saturday/monday). as i wasn't in a hurry i agreed, as more slicy is always nice
. not only did he provide this service for free, but he also sacrificed his spare time to manage to get it in the mail by the next day anyways!
this is already beyond awesome. the next surprise came when the package arrived. see, i ordered the knife without a sheath, as i tinker a bit in leathercrafting, so i was going to make my own anyways. the knife arrived in a cushioned envelope and wrapped in bubble wrap.

and to my surprise in a sheath!

alexander had a few sheaths around so he included one for free as a travel protection and to be able to wear the knife right away. Thanks!!!
i will post a short review of the knife in the thread linked at the start of the post. i for can only say that i am very happy how the knife and the whole transaction turned out! and as alexander is playing around with m390 now as well i am certain that this will only be my first knife from him, but certainly not my last.
