Well done Mark:thumbup::thumbup:
Enjoyed the look into your process.

It was also a pleasure to finally meet you at Blade.

^^^Same goes for me, Mark. Great job. I don't envy you grinding all that carbon fiber down. All that dust on your arm really makes me cringe.

As a current stock removal beginner, I am always in awe at great WIP threads like these. It certainly gives me something to aspire to! It was such an enjoyable thread to follow, thank you for putting the effort into the thread, that isn't easy either!

Mark, great WIP thread even more better because it's going to be added to my collection.
Buddy it's been a great pleasure working with you on this one and seeing it come together. It has more than exceeded my expectations and there was never any shadow of doubt that you couldn't pull it off. Fantastic piece. Many thanks.

Thank you Rick for the opportunity as well as the materials! I'll tell ya, i didn't come across a single pit in that block; super high quality CF.
I'll have the sheath started shortly and sent your direction :)

Im stoked you like it!

Thanks again!

Thanks guys!!!

You know honestly i wasn't itchy at all. I dunno if i got used to it or what. Maybe its because of how much i've been sweating lately. Been riding my bike every morning and its HOT!!!
Maybe i sweat it out.... i dunno

Doesn't get much better than this. That is, the knife as well as the WIP. This is what this forum is about. As a fellow Coog (class of 2010) and distant neighbor (Beaumont), I hope to see much more from you Mark. You have a very bright future! Awesome to watch this all come to fruition.

Damn Mark, that is a sweet looking knife! Something to be very proud of. Thank you for covering the steps to bring out the white hamon. I've done about 10 etch/polish cycles on a blade I am working on and it's finally looking pretty good. A couple more and I'm gonna call it good.

Thanks for the great WIP!

That's about as fine as it gets my friend.....love almost everything about it.....the only thing I don't like is IT ISN'T MINE!!!!! :D

Dudley, I'm sure if you asked, Mark would make one for you he's got some more CF on the way fof some more handles

Alright guys sorry for the wait, i've had quite a busy month for an innumerable amount of reasons.... However, it's finally done!! :D

Here are a Few Photo's of the sheath building process as well as some preliminary shots before it gets sent to Caleb for proper imagery magic.

So as with everything i do, a blueprint is formed. *I actually made a sheath with this tooling pattern.... it looked awful in leather LOL so i made a new one

Thank you Rick for your patience and patronage.
My biggest knife to date, first "S" guard, first baldric rig, featuring Carbon fiber that Rick laid up himself, W2 steel with Hamon, and stainless fittings. I'm calling the textured leather effect "Asphalt" as it seems most fitting

Very Cool Mark thank you for putting all the time in to do the WIP one of the best we have seen in some time. I look forward to seeing your next project.
