Hello guys.
For a long time I had not done a mosaic damaskus. It's not that I forged it in those heats. The forged billet was waiting from the end of the winter to shape it on the grinder. And finally it waited.
I wanted this knife to look, if not antique, at least a little old-fashioned. You will say if I have succeeded.
It seems to me that this is a good fighter. The balance point is about 3 mm. from where the blade enters the guard in the direction of the handle.
Blade – Hand forged mozaic Damascus steel. For cutting edge I have laminated Silver Steel /1.2210/ Differentially heat treated with clay. 59 – 61 HRC after tempering.
Handle – Ebony.
Guard and pommel –Bronze. Hidden tang.
Inlays – Silver and copper. The flowering of the Japanese sour cherry.
This knife is without sheath. My feeling is that it deserves a better sheath than what I can do. There is a need for something done by a professional.
