While digging in the back yard tis morning I found a Barlow with "M. Klein & Sons - Chicago" marked on the main blade. The other "blade" is a flathead screw driver secured by a brass liner lock. The scales are some kind of hardwood, saturated with oil and somewhat deteriorated. I just ran the rusted carbon edge across some crock sticks and it shaves like nobody's business.

Anybody know anything about this company?

Klein makes quality tools prrimarily for professional electricians but also some for other trades. They have some called compact pocket folders that are slim lock backs with wood inserts that the electrical guys at work rave about for their sharp edges. I have never been interetsted in them because they dont have any one handers.

As Beam stated Klien makes mostly high quality tools for electricians. I have had a couple of their work knives and found them to be good work knives. From the appearence of them they are probly made on contract by one of the major makers. I'm thinking Schrade from the handle material. The knife you found sounds like an electrician's knife with the screwdriver blade. I carry the same model by Case.A really handy knife for work.
