M Tech

Not consistent.

Me and my buddy bought a couple pretty early into the knife addiction. My blade snapped after a bit of hard cutting, while his is still going strong after being chucked at trees and chopped with.

The screws came out, though, and the lockup sucked.

The MTECH I'm going to shoot has the craziest steel. It appears to be unsharpenable. I have used stone, ceramics, bastard file, steel honing rod and can not get it to slice a piece of copy paper! :D

I actually have a MTech copy of the Camillus CUDA CQB-1 fixed-blade that my wife bought for me for $20 at "Big...", and to be honest, I am rather impressed by its' QUALITY for a $20 knife! The fit & finish is EXCELLENT, and it feel GREAT in my hand.

Junk, Let's put it This way.... A certain Sporting Goods store had them in stock. The Item was a Fixed blade AND a folder, sale priced at, WAIT for it!! $25.. I sold at a garage sale just recently, unused... What, I was affraid, very affraid. That purchase was one of a few mistakes I have made while collecting.

Usually people want to split a bullet with a knife but I think you guys will split a knife with a bullet.:D

best peace of scrap metal you can buy. just take it to the scrap yard with all of your other scrap metal you have to turn in.

So it's not a matter of if but when :D .... I've got a few you can shoot too, the bullets are on me.

I couldn't shoot it today. The spouse works midnight shift and though she often doesn't take a nap - she's been crashed ever since getting home from church today.

Let her sleep and tomorrow the MTECH will get drilled for sure. The best I can do is set my camera to do a 3 frame burst. Sometimes it catches the action. Like my father who for years told me my phone sucked and he had the best phone in the world. Then a couple of years later it's not working up to par and he forces his perfectly good Cobra cordless on me - RIGHT - out to the burnpile! :D

Moments later: (notice the fine bullet hole directly through the box that the phone was laying against)

The only MTech I've ever bought was the "Twist" Balisong type, designed by Darryl Ralph. It appears to be well built and function, fit & Finish is as good as any of my higher end knives.

BUT -

My Twist is the ONLY MTech I've ever looked at, held, or used that has that level of quality. The only one, after more than five years of looking at knives, cheap or expensive. MTech makes okay beaters, if you choose carefully, but in general I won't spend my money on them.
