M1 and D2 flats?

Howdy, this is my first post. Sorry if this is in the wrong spot. I've been 'ammerin' the anvil since I was about 12, now 38, but never done cutlery. However, I came into a couple tons of M1 and D2 rounds that I was thinking of rolling down to flat bars. Anybody have a suggestion for a good size flat bar that would work well for making damascus billets? Or, a good size for general knife maker's needs? Once I get some rolled down, I'd be planning to sell very reasonable around NW Ohio.

Thanks and God bless,
Roger

For blade stock, I'd say some 1/4", 3/16" and 1/8" would be the best thicknesses to take them down to, so you could have more options to make different styles of blades.

As for damascus, I don't think you'll want to mess around with these two steels trying to make it...
