Point taken Vance. I'm not trying to knock your calculation. Just trying to get a little closer to actual price. I've seen his offerings before and I agree on your estimate for material and labor for the kydex. A good custom sheath should fetch that much.
Maybe I'm in a better situation than the buyer. I get lucky enough to find my own fatwood and I hang out here so I end up getting Ferro rods from BF members for less than a LMF.
Between Kiahs, Ragnar and the woods behind the office I could probably put together a set like that for under $70. Maybe $80 with shipping.
If I were trying to supliment my income with a kit like that, I dont think $30 profit is out of order. But that, like anything else, depends on how many I move. $30 on one is great. If I were to do this on a regular basis, of course the profit margin would probably be lower.
