I'd swap the black G10 for a CF scale on the modded millie.![]()
I know what you mean and it's tempting, but here's why I wouldn't. The lanyard tube is flared. There are work-arounds, but at the end of the day it's not likely to be factory-tight after a swap. YMMV but balancing the various considerations, I left the G10 with the Ti. Another consideration is that the M4 blade is at least in a fully CF set of handles, so it's attractive and logical, at least IMHO. Having it in a half G10-half CF handle set would be, IMHO, uuuuuugggggly. YMMV.

So I just received mine this afternoon. I already have an S90V variant...and the M390 is all that + I prefer M390 (I like the edge it takes better). Great F&F EXCEPT:
Neither of my blades were particularly sharp. I TRULY don't care about this since I prefer the edges I put on my blades with my EP...but these are strangely dull knives per Spyderco standards. It looks like the grinds never made an apex on the cutting bevel. I truly see this as a plus since that means no material was ground away unnecessarily (i.e. my blade will have that much more life on it), but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this.
Just an observation and something I'm not use to on Spyderco knives. I may be weird and would actually prefer if ALL my blades only came semi-sharpened which would allow me to put my edge on each blade w/o taking off material unnecessarily.
